JC Young serves as a Consultant for SKO-GOV, guiding clients and partners in developing innovative strategies for working with the legislative and executive branches of state government and Kentucky’s congressional delegation. Born and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky, JC has accumulated contacts spanning the Commonwealth for more than 20 years.
JC is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he earned his Bachelors and Masters of Public Administration degrees. After graduation in 2006, JC accepted a position with the Kentucky Association of Counties and has served as a resource and advocate for local governments ever since. In addition to his work as a consultant, JC serves as the Executive Director of two statewide associations both providing advocacy, training, education, and advisory services to members. Throughout his career, JC has worked hand in hand with the legislative branch of government, crafting laws that affect local governments, and the administrative branch representing all 120 counties. His experiences give him a unique perspective when helping SKO-GOV clients refine and address their government relations priorities and strategy. JC has been appointed to numerous State Boards and Commissions by both republican and democratic Governors. He stays active in his local community by serving on the Advisory Board for Traditional Bank and the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce. |
